Bethany graduated in 2022 from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Distinction in her Piano Accompaniment masters degree (MPerf). During her time at Guildhall, she studied with Pamela Lidiard and Andrew West, and previously studied with Anna Tilbrook during her time at Oxford.
At Guildhall, Bethany was involved in a number of projects, including a concert of Stephen Hough songs, curated by Alisdair Hogarth, a concert based on the theme of the seasons, curated by Iain Burnside, and a Russian songs project led by Lada Valesova.
Bethany also received duo coaching from Jonathan Lemalu, alongside her regular duo partner baritone George Reynolds, and she has received masterclasses from Richard Hetherington, Tobias Truniger, Graham Johnson, Amanda Roocroft, Joan Rodgers, Julia Bullock, and Mark Padmore.
Bethany was a Leeds Lieder Young Artist for the Leeds Lieder Festival 2022, and also in 2022 won the Jubilee Accompanist Prize at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She won the accompanist prize in the Courtney Kenny Award in 2021, and played the celeste part of Debussy’s Les Chansons de Bilitis in the Oxford Lieder Festival in 2019.
Bethany plays for a number of singing lessons, classes, masterclasses, auditions, and recordings, including regularly playing for Marcus van den Akker, Yvonne Kenny, and Samantha Malk.
Bethany has experience in opera répétiteuring, recently working with OperaEd on their outreach work, taking opera into local London primary schools. Alex Ingram on the 2021 masters Summer Opera Scenes at Guildhall. She has also played for a number of musical theatre shows, often at the Oxford Playhouse, and most recently for the new musical by Rudy Percival, Between.


Bethany works regularly with choirs, both in an accompanying and directing capacity. She is particularly involved with community outreach work, working with the Choir With No Name and ScotsCare, both choirs for vulnerable people and the former for those who have experience of homelessness. She also runs a weekly choir for KEEN Oxford, a charity for people with autism and other learning disabilities. Other choir accompanying credits include Wimbledon Youth Choir, West Barnes Singers, Wimbledon Oldies’ Choir, London Welsh Rugby Choir, Eltham Choral Society, and many more. She has also accompanied school choirs for the Barnardo’s National Choral Competition Finals at the Royal Festival Hall in 2018 and 2019.
